It all began when I was just seventeen years old. I was sitting in my bedroom at my parents’ house looking for a mother’s day gift online. After feeling defeated & indecisive, I stumbled upon the exquisite look of crystal jewelry. I loved creating beaded jewelry in my spare time but hadn’t had a lot of experience with anything more than that. I took the plunge & decided to invest in some new supplies, far outside of my comfort zone. The necklace was a hit! I used my extra supplies to make two more necklaces. My two-color inventory quickly grew to ten, twenty & so on. Friends & family recommended I sell on a more broad spectrum. A few months later, “emilytrends” was born.

My little gem, emilytrends, has been in business for over eleven years now. I have a very focused attention to detail (slight OCD here) & a true passion for this craft. I dedicate a tremendous amount of time toward planning out color schemes, creating emilytrends exclusive pieces and crystal colors, designing my own business cards and marketing visuals, ethically sourcing materials & striving to improve every step of the way.

With every piece of jewelry that I make, I leave you with a tiny piece of my creative heart. I hope that you LOVE your piece(s) & cherish them for years to come.

In my spare time, I enjoy DIY/home renovation projects, interior design, refinishing furniture, gardening & cooking! I’ve loved my career as a physical therapist assistant but have most recently been promoted to “mama” — it’s the best job I’ve ever had! You’ll always find my husband helping out at local vendor shows & also behind the scenes making sure things run smoothly.
